Sushi: Kanoyama - 175 2nd Avenue (11th Street)

A casual, moderately priced sushi restaurant with extremely fresh fish and friendly service. Reservations usually not needed (and not accepted for less than three people). If going alone or with one other person, I recommend sitting at the sushi bar and putting yourself in the more than capable hands of either sushi chef.

Formerly called Iso and then Koi, they have recently changed their name to Kanoyama (probably to avoid confusion with the unrelated LA-import Koi).
